Can AI truly replace Humans at work?
The answer to that question which everyone is talking about nowadays is both Yes and No.
Artificial Intelligence with the help of technologies and other science and Human Behavioural studies is automating most of our daily work such as reaching for the remote, booking our orders and purchasing our groceries and even cooking at certain levels.
However it can never replace human creativity and insight no matter how hard we program it to do so because Machines can only think according to how well we have programmed them and what we have programmed them to think.
Let’s take an example of a Google AI Assistant sitting at a table in a Business meeting with all company board of directors and they ask the AI what do you think the company should do given our current circumstances.
If the AI is so well programmed with all the information happening around the world it could provide suggestions like:
- Introduce new Eco Friendly technologies of certain categories being preferred by consumers.
- Reduce your costs of supplies by shifting to new suppliers available for the same raw materials in region X and that they provide quality of the same value as analyzed by customer reviews.
- Your company morale is suffering as most surveys being filled by employees indicate high levels of unhappiness at workplace. Thus higher X Psychologist with good reviews on various websites to help.
- Design organizational frameworks containing the given features.
So when we look at this, we all think why would the company need us if they have AI’s for it now
Then we need to look at it again, and then we see people are still present everywhere in other businesses and as board of directors and employees.

As AIs cannot think freely like Humans no matter how much technological capability they achieve in terms of cognitive percievarance because humans can analyze open ended patterns while AIs can Analyze close ended patterns and make simple deductions so humans dont need to waste time on thinking such basic things and focus on more complex tasks.
Thus humans will still be needed to analyze complex psychological variables, think about adding new features to AI systems based on how people will think differently as evaluated using Data Analytics and neurosciences.
Humans will also be needed for business planning and business decision making using AI systems as help because decisions for selling things to humans and trying to understand their reactionary measures of prices and quantity cannot completely be fanthomed by AI system as they can only provide an assumed case scenario about it based on what people think in that particular time.
AI systems cannot accurately predict how peoples way of thinking will completely change and can only provide a small overview about it while people will be needed to plan and execute according to those changes.
In other words it can be clear to us that we dont need to fear AI taking away our jobs and only need to enjoy the fact that it will reduce our workload and our jobs will require us to use our head more than our hands.
Thus more thinking will be required instead of moving.
