In India, the lack of accessible and traceable health information has led to fragmented care and uninformed decisions. This issue is deeply personal, affecting our families and friends. Fragmented data across providers makes it challenging to derive insights. The disjointed data landscape across healthcare providers has made it challenging to extract meaningful insights and make informed choices about our health.

The inception of Queo Health began as a vision to democratize healthcare by empowering individuals to take control of their health in India. Armed with a passion for technology and a deep understanding of healthcare challenges, we rallied a lean team of brilliant minds with diverse expertise. The focus was to build a digital health platform that bridged the gap between patients and providers, making healthcare accessible and personalized in India. We refrain from thinking of being a 10x/100x disruptor and kept away from the buzz of Gen Ai. Our sole focus was to identify a simple product- market fit that address key pain points of the customer and build any sophistication once we see enough traction (That is for another post)

Sketching the Future during the early stages — Wireframing. We sketched out the platform’s user interface and user experience. The focus was always on simplicity, ensuring that the platform would be user-friendly and intuitive for both patients and healthcare professionals.

Collaboration, creativity, and attention to detail played a vital role as we iterated through various design concepts. We spent countless hours researching and understanding the pain points in the current healthcare system, seeking ways to bridge the gap between patients and doctors.

we embraced the principles of lean methodology. We constantly sought feedback from potential users and iterated the wireframes, accordingly, ensuring that our product would address real-world needs effectively. For customer validation and testing, we reached out to potential users, engaging in numerous conversations to gain valuable insights. We embraced feedback, whether positive or critical, and used it to refine the value proposition and product concept.

Building a team was no easy feat and we failed initially twice of not having the optimal team. Luckily, we have friends and family members who shared the passion for making a difference in healthcare in India. We assembled a diverse group of individuals, each with unique expertise, but all driven by the common goal of creating a healthcare platform that is personalised.

Creating the product roadmap required a delicate balance between ambition and pragmatism. We understood the importance of setting achievable milestones while keeping an eye on the long-term vision. The roadmap served as a guiding light for the team, keeping them aligned and motivated throughout the development process. Drawing wireframes and creating a product roadmap required a delicate balance between creativity and practicality. We brainstormed tirelessly, experimenting with different approaches, and continually seeking feedback. We encouraged open discussions and brainstorming sessions, fostering an environment where everyone’s ideas were heard and considered. This collaborative approach led to a well-rounded and innovative strategy that covered all aspects of application development.

The journey from wireframes to the beta testing stage was a challenging. We embraced open-source tools, cloud services, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize efficiency. The beta testing phase marked a pivotal moment, as real users interacted with our product, providing valuable insights that is guiding our final refinements.

Managing the team was both an exhilarating and humbling experience. Embracing a servant leadership approach, I encouraged each team member to take ownership of their roles and actively contribute their insights. Communication flowed seamlessly, and I found myself learning and growing from my team as much as they learned and grew from me.

The journey of founding Queo Health had been profoundly rewarding and insightful. I learned that venturing beyond my comfort zone and donning multiple hats enriched my perspective and strengthened my decision-making abilities. By embracing a holistic approach, I cultivated a diverse skill set that enabled me to navigate challenges with creativity and confidence.

Finally, the moment we had all been eagerly waiting for arrived — the unveiling of the Queo Health prototype. It was a triumph of collaboration, determination, and resilience.

Lessons learned 1. Breaking free from silos and embracing diverse perspectives allowed me to see the bigger picture and make informed decisions.

Lesson 2: Staying open to learning and taking risks were key ingredients for success in the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship.

Lesson3: I discovered the immense power of teamwork and the beauty of shared visions. Working in tandem with talented individuals from different backgrounds, I realized that the most extraordinary ideas emerged when perspectives converged, and silos were broken down.

Lesson 4: Being a founder is undoubtedly a rewarding and fulfilling experience, but it is crucial to acknowledge that it is far from an easy journey. It is a path characterized by its twists and turns, ups and downs, and a myriad of challenges that test our resilience and determination but there are two final outcomes; You learn and succeed, or you learn to do better next time.

Lesson 5: There’s more valuable than the list of years of experience, its passion and learning mind-set. So, if you ever find yourself hesitating because you don’t meet the supposed “years of experience” requirement, remember this: experience is just one aspect of the equation. What truly matters is your passion for what you do and your unwavering commitment to learn, adapt, and conquer. Don’t let your potential limited by arbitrary benchmarks.

One of the most profound lessons I have learned on this entrepreneurial journey is the importance of humility. It is easy to become engrossed in our own accomplishments however, I have come to understand that the world is vast and diverse, containing a multitude of talents, dreams, and aspirations. As the founder of Queo, I humbly recognize that I am just one individual among eight billion stars in this ever-expanding universe. Acknowledging this humbling truth has been a source of inspiration and motivation for me. We hope that magnitude of our impact is not measured solely by financial gains but by the positive influence we leave on individuals, communities, and the environment and possibly leave a footprint.

With a focus on prevention, lifestyle enhancement, and community support, we’re driving a transformative shift in Indian health system. Excited to embark on the next daunting journey — Raising funds, product refinement and scaling. Join us in catalysing this much-needed change.
